I want to commend Dr. I. Howard Marshall and his book, Kept by the Power of God: A Study of Perseverance and Falling Away.  The book has been a good read and Dr. Marshall does a good job of dealing with every passage in the Bible over perseverance and apostasy.  Along the way he deals with the issues related to that such as the order of salvation, faith, election and predestination, and eternity itself.
